Larissa Cavalcante Pires graduated in Psychology at the Federal University of São Paulo. She is currently a full time master's degree student in Health Sciences, she is also completing a specialization course on elderly health. Her areas of interest are, sports psychology, gerontology, elderly well-being, thanatology and holistic therapies.

During her academic life, she participated of an interdisciplinary group that cared for a population of elderly women in situations of social vulnerability, with the objective of promoting physical and mental health, autonomy and independence, as well as improving the quality of life of the participants with consequent increase in their self-esteem and social integration.
